CP safely resumed operations on the Cascade and Thompson subdivisions in British Columbia yesterday. The first trains going to Vancouver arrived early Wednesday morning.

We continue to monitor the railway and weather conditions in the area.

CP has put in place a safe, steady and deliberate start-up plan for traffic to move through the site. The backlog is significant and your patience and understanding is appreciated as we work to ensure the safe and efficient movement of shipments.

CP’s efforts to repair our corridor between Kamloops, B.C. and Vancouver continue to progress well. We now estimate train operations will be able to resume Tuesday evening on November 23 as crews continue working around the clock.

We continue to monitor conditions closely and work with local and B.C. authorities and Indigenous communities to coordinate the delivery of critical materials, equipment, food and fuel as CP crews work to restore service safely.

We will provide a further update on Monday, November 22.

CP crews continue to work on repairs to infrastructure damaged during last weekend’s heavy rains.

The safety of our employees and the public remains our priority and as the rail network is repaired, CP’s operations will resume where it is safe to do so.

There remains no timeline to fully resume operations in the region.

We continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Customer Advisory – Service Interruption – CP Cascade & CN Yale subdivisions

CP is experiencing a track outage on the Cascade subdivision, north of Hope, BC. CN is also experiencing an outage on the Yale subdivision, near Chilliwack, BC. Both outages are impacting mainline train operations in those areas.

CP teams are on site and will shortly begin inspecting our tracks on the Cascade subdivision. Further broadcasts will be sent as the results of the inspection are known. Currently there is no timeframe for service to resume in the affected area.

We will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available and work directly with affected customers.
