Extreme Winter Temperatures 2019
During the winter months we can experience extreme cold across the country which has a negative effect on the transportation industry. If the temperature drops low enough, train engines are unable to start, rail cars can freeze shut, train track mechanisms can get frozen in place, vehicle engines can become too cold to start, and fuel in our carrier’s fuel tanks can become gelatinous, which can lead to delays while we wait for warmer temperatures.
Due to the setback caused by the extreme temperatures, the rail cars that have arrived are unable to be unloaded which causes a backlog. At this moment, our rail carrier has run out of space at the Toronto terminal, which means that some rail cars have been dropped off at various rail yards across Canada. Once the weather warms up and vehicles are able to be unloaded in Toronto, the rail cars that were dropped off at other locations will be brought to Toronto and unloaded immediately.
We thank you for your patience as we work diligently to get your vehicle delivered as soon as possible.
